PHILIPPINE acrobats are expected to take home the Best Actor award at the 68th annual Academy Awards.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a list of Chinese actors that are nominated for best actor will be announced on Tuesday.
They include Tai Chi Taoxiao, who plays a doctor in the film “The Man Who Came to Save the World,” and Kuo-Hsin Wang, who portrays a military officer in the drama “The Last of Us.”
Other actors that will be nominated include Shih Hsiung-Tau, who portrayed a Chinese military commander in the upcoming action thriller “The Raid 2,” and Yi Jiao-Sang, who played a Chinese woman who goes to visit her estranged husband.
“The last of us” is a remake of a film that came out in 2013.
The movie is based on a book written by Hong Kong author Chen Cheng-Tian, who is also the creator of “The Legend of the Four Kings.”
“The Last Of Us” is scheduled to open in theaters on March 23, 2019.
In the meantime, here are the Chinese actors to be nominated at the Golden Globes: Tai Chi Tuo: Best Actor, “The Girl on the Train” article Tai chi taoist singer and actor Tai Chi Tuohua, better known as Tai Chi Taoyeon, will win the Best Actress nomination for her role in the new film “A Song of Ice and Fire.”
The film stars Kit Harington, who stars as a leader in the band “The Mountain Goats.”
Tai Chi Teng: Best Actress, “Lone Survivor” article Taiwanese actor Tai Taiyang Taoyeng will win Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Lonesome Dove,” the new Chinese action movie.
Taiyang plays a former police officer who has been investigating the disappearance of a young girl.
He also plays a mercenary in a film about the Chinese military.
Tai Chi Yao: Best Supporting Actress, “The Great Wall” article Taiwan’s actress Tai Chi Yao will win her first award as Best Actress for her portrayal of an old man in the Chinese comedy “The Great Hall.”
She plays a soldier in the military who has lost his wife and has been struggling to keep the peace in the rural province of Yunnan.
Tai Yi: Best Director, “Chaos in the Sky” article Chinese director and actor Taiwanese actor Taiwan Yi will win his first award for “Chaotic in the Skies,” the Chinese adaptation of the novel by Chinese author Zhang Ziyang.
The film, based on the book “The King and the Black Prince,” follows a boy named Zhu who has spent most of his life in a small mountain village.
He discovers that he is not a normal boy, but a member of a secret society called the “Black Prince,” which has been secretly operating in the mountains for hundreds of years.
Tai Zou: Best Film, “Shining Song of Joy” article Best actor Taiwan Zou is nominated for Best Actor for “Shiny Song of the Sun.”
Zhao Jun, who starred in “The Black Prince” and “Chao Jinglin” films, will be in the audience for the ceremony.
Zhang Ziyi will be hosting the ceremony for his third time as a presenter, and he will be the first Chinese man to do so since former President Hu Jintao in 2005.
