Chinese martial arts group the Guangdou is creating a new troupe based in Shanghai.
Guangzhou Daily reports that the troupe will be known as Guangdu, and will consist of two martial artists, a choreographer, and a conductor.
It’s unclear if the troup will be performing under the Guanxi Academy of Dance.
Guangdoo’s founder and former choreographer Jiang Yuan was shot and killed by police last month, and his family members are appealing for support.
The Chinese government has been accused of suppressing free speech and the press.
