Shanghai, China – A Chinese circus troupe that performed in China for several decades, including at Disneyland, is set to return to the U.S. for the first time in a decade.
The Guangfang Acrobatics troupe has been operating in the United States since 1989 and is one of the largest groups in China, with more than 1,200 members, including a dozen in California, according to the group’s website.
Guangfangs troupe will perform at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, the group said.
Guangs trouper, who performs in China with an international reputation, will perform in Disneyland, according the group.

The troupe was founded in the 1970s by the Guangzhou Opera, and it was a staple of the city’s opera scene until it moved to Los Angeles in 1989.
Guanfang, which means “the joy” in Chinese, has been a part of China’s entertainment scene for decades.
In the past decade, it has been the most popular troupe performing in China.
In a statement, Disneyland said the group is “dedicated to performing Chinese music, arts and culture at Disneyland Resort, and we are grateful to the Guans trouper for this opportunity to return home.”
Guangdings troupe’s owner said it has “always been our intention to continue performing in the U., and we plan to do so at Disneyland.
We will be touring the U in the coming years, and look forward to continuing our journey together.”
Guans has performed in other cities, including Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Beijing.
It performs on Chinese TV stations.
Guanzdang’s troupe also performed at the Disney California Adventure theme park in California and in China’s Beijing Disneyland.
Guandzdang has performed on Chinese television stations.
