China’s soccer team takes first steps in Olympic debut

China’s professional soccer team has started training for its first official games of the 2020 Olympics in Shanghai.

The team, made up of some of the countrys top soccer players, has been working out for the past few months in Beijing.

The Shanghai City Football Club, China’s third-highest-ranked soccer team, said in a statement that it would not play the first-ever Olympics, but would compete in a few games.

China will host the Summer Olympics in 2020.
